/e/OS 1.18 Release

But before, let us introduce you the fresh new release of /e/OS 1.18. In this new version a notable improvement concerns a better charging animation for Murena One and GS290. App Lounge has improved token refresh and better informs the user when the storage is full. Fairphone 4’s receiver sound is adjusted, and Murena devices offer new lock screen PIN setup.

Software updates include merged LineageOS updates, and security is reinforced with Android patches until November. /e/OS 1.18 delivers a more streamlined and secure mobile experience.

With a fantastic release in autumn of the new Fairphone 5, our team made it possible to install /e/OS on this brand-new model almost immediately. /e/OS is now compatible with the Fairphone 5 thus giving you even more device options.

Extended Apps Compatibility

In recent /e/OS updates for Community-supported phones, we have extended the compatibility techniques we have developed for Official Murena devices to Community-supported devices so that they now can have a better third party app support.
