Google's “privacy-preserving” tool for ad targeting, FLoC, is anything but that
Under FLoC (Federated Learning of Cohorts), a person’s browser would collect any data generated by that browsing and group it into a large pool of data from people with similar online behavior. In other words, it would still allow Google to track, target and sell this information to advertisers. It would also give them a leg up on their competitors in the field of ad tracking.
