/e/OS now supports UnifiedPush
We’re excited to announce that starting from the release 2.5, /e/OS now supports UnifiedPush notifications! This means you can enjoy real-time notifications from your favorite apps while maintaining control of your privacy. UnifiedPush offers a decentralized, privacy-respecting alternative to traditional push notification services.
It’s important to note that UnifiedPush is supported only on compatible apps, such as Matrix, and other apps that have adopted the UnifiedPush standard. This makes it a great privacy-friendly alternative to Google Push Notifications, giving you more autonomy over how your device communicates with external services.
To start using UnifiedPush, you’ll need to activate it manually by going to Settings → System → Unified Push.
