Our users’ contributions are key to the success of an ambitious project such as this.
With your help and through your donations, we can support a growing team of passionate contributors, keep /e/OS completely independent and make it sustainable over time. Every donation helps the project to pursue additional developments, rent servers for compilation and to host your e.email/murena.io account or the community forum, pay for domain names and other key expenses. efoundation is supported by companies and initiatives like:
Webaxys is a network operator and runs the most innovative “green” datacenter in Europe. Where other operators saw a problem, Webaxys saw a challenge. That of creating the Green Datacenter. Today, the Webaxys Datacenter in Le Havre, France is considered the most innovative in Europe.
Webaxys hosts several of our own build servers at their green datacenter. Every day, solar panels capture the sun’s power to help us build /e/. Not only /e/ is fair with your data, but also fair with the planet.
Under the European Commission’s NGI initiative, the Data Portability and Services Incubator (DAPSI) empowers internet innovators to develop human-centric technologies to make it significantly easier for citizens to have any data which is stored with one service provider transmitted directly to another provider, addressing the challenge of personal data portability on the internet as foreseen under the GDPR.
eFoundation has received funding from the Next Generation Internet Initiative (NGI) within the framework of the DAPSI Project.
SIDN Fund stands for ‘a strong internet for all’. The fund provides financial support to ideas and projects that aim to make the internet stronger, empower internet users or that use the internet in innovative ways. By doing so, SIDN Fund wants to help increase the social impact of the internet in the Netherlands and in Europe.
SIDN Fund is supporting the development of an integrated privacy center for Android™ that will be included in /e/OS.
